What are dentures?
Dentures are removable dental appliances used to replace missing teeth and surrounding tissues. They are custom-made to fit comfortably inside your mouth and restore your ability to speak, chew, and smile confidently. Dentures are typically made of acrylic, metal, or a combination of both materials and come in two main types: complete dentures, which replace all the teeth in an arch, and partial dentures, which replace only some missing teeth and are supported by the remaining natural teeth.
Do I need dentures?
You may need dentures if you have multiple missing teeth and wish to restore the function and appearance of your smile. Here are some reasons why dentures may be recommended: - Multiple missing teeth: Dentures are an excellent solution for patients missing several or all of their teeth. - Difficulty chewing or speaking: Missing teeth can make it challenging to chew food properly or speak clearly. Dentures restore these functions, allowing you to eat and speak with ease. - Prevention of facial sagging: Missing teeth can cause facial muscles to sag, making you look older. Dentures support facial muscles, preventing sagging and maintaining a youthful appearance.
